About the Project

Empower Today is built on the belief that every student deserves the chance to tell their story and amplify their voice. Through multiple elements including the development of informative resources, training workshops and mentorship programs, the project will help students at an NGO publish their own newspaper, teaching them the basics of journalism while developing their confidence in key skills like writing, editing, and sharing their opinions on topics that matter. 

To further its impact, the project also looks forward to incorporating creative approaches to engagement and outreach via an interactive podcast, peer-volunteer network, and fundraising efforts that support the procurement and distribution of educational materials. By integrating tools for skill-development along with access to different avenues for participation and expression, Empower Today envisions a future where the youth, irrespective of their background, has a fair chance of contributing their voice to a larger narrative and driving meaningful change.
